WHAT TO PACK FOR 3 DIFFERENT OAHU ACTIVITIES

Currently I'm craving a warm, tropical place right now. It's still Winter where I am, and it feels like it is dragging on and on. And as no surprise I'm finding myself day dreaming of Hawaii, one of my favorite places to visit. So for fun let's go to Hawaii. Here, I'm sharing some things I'd do in Oahu and what I'd pack for this "I wish it were true" Winter getaway...

WHAT TO DO
First, I'd head straight to the North Shore and spend a day visiting some of my favorite spots. I'd go to Kono's in Haleiwa for their breakfast burritos - the slow-roasted pulled kalua pork bomber is my favorite, I crave it every morning I'm visiting Oahu. They're generous in sizing, so come with an appetite.

After breakfast head down the road and stop at the nearest road-side fruit stand and get some fresh fruit for the beach. I always pick up a bag or two of the pre-cut, assorted fruits - makes it easier to snack on them while at the beach. Then I'd be off to the beach to take a dip in the ocean. There are so many beautiful beaches in Oahu, it's hard to pick a favorite, but if you're still on the North Shore, then head to Sunset Beach or Kawela Bay. Neither will disappoint.  If you're heading down the windward side of Oahu, head to Lanikai Beach. The twin islands off shore are always worth a picture or two.

If you're looking for a laid-back dinner near the beach, I'd definitely go to Duke's in Waikiki. The atmosphere is relaxed and the food is always delicious.  And the beachfront entertainment with their  live music and the view of the sunset over Waikiki are an extra bonus!

WHAT TO PACK
 - A flowy maxi is perfect for a road trip to the North Shore of Oahu - just throw over your swimsuit and add your favorite ray-ban aviator sunglasses, flat sandals, and go-to straw bag

 - Pack at least two swimsuits, this striped bikini and this black bikini are both classics and perfect for lazy beach days, and an easy cover-up like this black sarong

 - For a laid-back dinner, pair a simple black off the shoulder top with your distressed high-rise denim, some tassle earrings, flat sandals, and a cute straw bag like this mini wicker tote
